Job Overview

CHCO is seeking a Wellness Administrator to administer the Children’s Hospital Colorado, wellness program. In this role, you will be responsible for engaging and supporting team members on their wellness journey and partnering with the Benefits and Wellness manager to develop CHCO specific wellness initiatives and programs that support our culture and wellness mission. As the Wellness Administrator you will also be responsible for researching and resolving escalated employee wellness inquiries; auditing data maintained in PeopleSoft and vendor systems.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all the following essential functions. These examples do not include all the functions which the employee may be expected to perform.

Administers plans per CHCO plan provisions and guidelines; designs and develops wellness programs, resources, and tools. Monitors wellness program measures and provides updates to team and leadership.

Conducts research into wellness program best practices and makes recommendations for enhancing current program and events to align with best practices.

Supports annual wellness programs by coordinating materials, speakers, and group meetings with associates; answers enrollment questions and following up on issues.

Creates and delivers education information to team members on an on-going basis; provides guidance, training and support to HR and CHCO managers on routine to complex wellness issues.

Ensures compliance with government rules and regulations on wellness plans. Assists in ensuring regulatory compliance and reporting.

Researches and resolves escalated team member issues by interpreting wellness policies and procedures and connecting with external vendors and consultants; provides advice and guidance to team members and leaders.

Serves as lead on routine projects, assigning work to project team members and ensuring deliverables are met.

Partners with wellbeing stakeholders on coordinated wellness and wellbeing projects and initiatives

Coordinates with wellness vendors and manages wellness vendor relationships

Coordinates with and supports CHCO wellness champion program

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Knowledge of federal and state regulations that govern benefit plans to include ERISA, ACA, and IRS.

Ability to research benefits plan documents, summary plan descriptions, and insurance certificates to identify answers and solutions to employee inquiries.

Ability to deliver benefits presentations to employee groups.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word and Excel.

Ability to navigate, enter data, and run queries in PeopleSoft.

SCOPE & LEVEL

Guidelines: Developmental, standard, or intermediate level.  Guidelines are generally numerous, well established, and directly applicable to the work assignment.  Work assignment and desired results are explained by general oral or written instructions.

Complexity: Falls between the entry and full performance/senior level.  Duties assigned are generally repetitive and restricted in scope but may be of substantial intricacy.  Employee primarily applies standardized practices.

Decision Making: Decisions or recommendations on non-standardized situations are limited to relating organizational policies to specific cases.  Brings non-routine issues to supervisor. Problems that are not covered by guidelines or that are without precedent are taken up with the supervisor.

Communications: Contacts with team members, clients or the public where explanatory or interpretive information is exchanged, gathered, or presented and some degree of discretion and judgment are required within the parameters of the job function.

Supervision Received Under normal supervision, within a standardized work situation, the employee performs duties common to the line of work without close supervision or detailed instruction.  Work product is subject to continual review.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.

Experience: Two years of experience in human resources, supporting employee benefits. and/ or wellness

Equivalency: In lieu of bachelor’s degree, one year of experience in administering benefits and providing customer support to employees will substitute for one year of education, up to four years of experience.

Salary Information

Annual Salary Range (Based on 40 hours worked per week): $57,085.51 to $85,628.26

Hourly Salary Range: $27.44 to $41.17
