Overview The Laboratory Technician I (LT I) position is responsible for assisting the post-doctoral scientists and research scientists in their research projects. Tasks will include but not limited to specimen processing, specimen management and inventory, testing of specimens by simple molecular or cell culture based techniques. Responsibilities - Specimen handling and testing - Use of Information Systems- Performance of waived to moderate complexity testing and reporting; and/or specimen processing and preparation under appropriate supervision, following in-depth training and competency assessment procedures (as assigned)- Maintains general operations of the Laboratory and performs quality assurance activities Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent and No Experience necessary / On-the-Job Training 1-2 years of related phlebotomy or lab experience or education training in phlebotomy preferred, but not required.

The pay range for this job begins at $18.92/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience. Remote Work/Work from Home This position is not eligible to work remotely, which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Children’s Mercy locations and may not work from home.
