  • Job Summary
    • The Dialysis Nurse Specialist is a professional registered nurse who operates, manages, and maintains the treatments provided by the Dialysis RN for patients requiring extracorporeal support for acute or long term dialysis-related therapies. The Dialysis Nurse Specialist functions independently under the direction of the nephrologists, following standard guidelines for dialysis, renal replacement therapies, and apheresis.
  • Education
    • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
    • Benefit eligible employee
  • Experience
    • Education and experience as follows:
    • Successfully completed the dialysis unit orientation process
    • Independently functioning in the Dialysis staff RN role by:
      • Perform all dialysis treatment therapies
      • Managing on-call requirements
  • Licensures, Certifications, and/or Registries
    • Current RN License in the State of Alabama
    • Current BLS certificate required
    • National Certification preferred
Employment Type: Full-time Shift: Day-Evening Shift Hours: 0630-1900
