ABOUT CHILDREN SERVICES OF ROXBURY:
Founded in 1972 Children’s Services of Roxbury’s (CSR) mission is to provide high quality services to economically disadvantaged children, youth, families, and individuals thereby promoting and strengthening family life and individual growth. CSR serves approximately 6,000 families across Massachusetts, serving families through four key services areas; Early Education and Care, Behavioral Health Services, Youth and Family Services and Housing and Stabilization. There are 22 programs operating under those four services areas. CSR operates across in 4 cities, has a staff of 400 employees, and an operating budget of $28M.

OVERVIEW:
CSR’s Bridge to Resiliency is a one-of-a-kind partnership between Children’s Services of Roxbury and Boston Public Schools to address the complex social, emotional or behavioral needs of Boston students. To prevent punitive school disciplinary action as a response to student behavioral health challenges, Bridge to Resiliency engages school leaders, teachers and parents to work together to identify students with needs and connect them culturally attuned, insurance-funded behavioral health care.

Position Summary: Under the supervision of the Outpatient Supervisor and the School Based Coordinator, School Based Clinicians will provide therapeutic services including individual therapy, family/group therapy, and systems-level advocacy. The School Based Clinician will be responsible for the delivery of mental health care to assigned students at the designated school location and will provide consultation services to the school staff.

RESPONSIBILITIES
School Based Clinician role includes but is not limited to the following:

• Carry case load, up to at least 12 students.
• Provide a variety of treatment services including individual, group and family.
• Provide clinical services such as intake/diagnostic evaluations, case evaluations, and crisis intervention.
• Participate as a member of an interdisciplinary treatment team (i.e. Student Support).
• Participate in weekly scheduled clinical supervision and staff meetings.
• Maintain clinical records in accordance with insurance regulations and established clinic policies and procedures.
• Comply with clinical productivity standards as established by Program Director.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• A graduate level degree in Counseling Psychology, Social Work or related field is required.
• Knowledge of Wraparound Program Models and/or CBHI services is preferred.
• Demonstrate strong communication/interpersonal and organizational skills and have experience in providing community outreach services.
• Applicant must have experience in and the ability to work with diverse individuals of different cultures. A thorough understanding of cultural competence is strongly desired.
• Experience in navigating any of the child/family-serving systems and experience advocating for family members who are involved with behavioral health systems.
• Applicant must have the ability to reason and carefully follows written and/or verbal directions effectively.

• School Based Clinician should be available Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. (School Hours)
