What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lifeguard position at ChildServe?
We are seeking Lifeguards to join our ChildServe swim program! Located at our Johnston campus, our indoor pool is kept at a comfortable 92 degrees year-round and serves a variety of purposes, including respite groups, swim lessons, exercise, and therapy sessions.

Schedule
- Flexible Monday-Friday evening hours between 4-8pm
- Weekend opportunities based on need to support birthday parties or family swim
- Assist with the facilitation of the aquatic services to both children we serve and community users
- Ensure pool policies and guidelines are adhered to
- American Red Cross CPR and First Aid Certification, or willingness to attain through ChildServe
- Lifeguard certification through American Red Cross
- Experience working with children is preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively in reading, writing, and speaking the English language
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in English.
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs, be mobile within the assigned work area, and frequently bend, lift, reach, and stand.
