- Preparing ingredients : Washing, peeling, chopping, and slicing fruits and vegetables, marinating meats, and preparing seafood
- Following recipes : Measuring and mixing ingredients, and setting up workstations and ingredients
- Maintaining cleanliness : Washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash, and organizing food storage areas
- Assisting chefs : Following prep lists, and helping with other tasks
- Managing inventory : Taking inventory of ingredients, and ordering more as needed
- Maintaining equipment : Keeping kitchen equipment in good condition, and reporting any malfunctions
