Registered Nurse (RN) for Children's Summer Camp

Camp Chipinaw / Silver Lake is located in the beautiful Catskill Mountains of New York State, less than 2 hours from NYC. The team consists of 6 - 7 RN's, Doctor, Medical Director and 3 Nurse Administrators. We are currently seeking Registered Camp Nurses for our 7-week summer camp. Registered Camp Nurses work in our recently constructed, air-conditioned Medical Center that is staffed 7 days a week. Our ideal candidates will be able to provide a combination of first aid, school nursing, and sometimes "mom nursing." You will have the opportunity to participate in camp activities and events…..and enjoy the camp experience!

Registered Camp Nurse Responsibilities

• First aid for minor injuries and caring for sick/injured campers and staff
• Dispense daily meds
• Ensuring the health and safety of campers and staff
• Daily sick call
• Communicating specific camper health needs
• Communicating with the medical director & camp director

Registered Camp Nurse Desired Experience/Requirements

• Registered Nurse Certification Required - NY (will assist with licensure)
• One Year of nursing experience
• Excellent bedside manner and communication skills
• Ability to explain treatments and conditions to children of all ages
• Working knowledge of health care laws and regulations

You will receive $1500 per week for the camping season June 28th - August 16th . You will be required to arrive on June 24th to undergo staff training & health center orientation. Along with a great salary you will have a air conditioned room with a queen size bed and bathroom
