JOB SUMMARY
The Conference Center Attendant I is responsible for setup, breakdown, and cleaning of conference center rooms.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Smile, acknowledge, and greet conference center clients and guests
- Complete assigned room settings and removal of tables, chairs, and audio-visual equipment as required
- Perform routine preventive maintenance of the conference center and equipment
- Respond promptly to event setup requests
- Complete daily assignments as directed by Conference Center Maintenance Supervisor
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of the interior and exterior of the conference center
- Use appropriate maintenance equipment as needed and properly maintain and store equipment
- Other duties as assigned

- Physical Demands – Must be able to do all of the following: lift up to fifty (50) lbs. at a time; move frequently around the property for an extended period of time; push and pull up to one hundred (100) lbs.; bend, stoop, and reach as necessary; engage physical activity over long periods of time; stand for long periods of time; demonstrate trunk strength (abdominal/lower back) and manual dexterity
EXPERIENCE – EDUCATION
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- One (1) year of building maintenance experience preferred
- One (1) year of conference center setup and breakdown preferred
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Indoor and outdoor exposure
- Moderate noise levels
- Occasional exposure to potentially toxic or caustic chemicals
- Frequent work with machinery
- Availability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
Current work shift - however subject to change as workload may require.
Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday: 2:30pm - 11:00pm
Friday and Saturday: 3:30pm - midnight
