Job Summary
Under the direction of the Supervisor of Admitting Services and the Director of Admitting Services, will act as a resource to patients, visitors and others entering the hospital through the front lobby. Courteously answers questions and guides patients and visitors to their destinations and informs visitors of the visiting policy and upholds it at all times. Keeps current documentation of all patients who present for registration.Experience Minimum Required: Work experience that includes interacting with and greeting guests, assisting customers, being organized. Experience Preferred Desired: At least one year of experience in a busy reception position, preferably healthcare related (IE: physician office, unit secretary on a nursing unit) Education Description: Education Minimum Required: HS diploma or equivalent. Education Desired Preferred: Some college or communications classes. Training Description: Training Minimum Required: Typing 40 WPM, Computer experience, faxes, copiers, multiline phones, printers. Training Desired Preferred: Special Skills Description: Special Skills Minimum Required: Must have excellent organizational and communications skills. Must be a strong team player.
