Position Summary A Joint Interest Billing (“JIB”) accountant is needed within the JIB/AR group to support the Accounting Department. This person would report to the Accounting Manager and is located in Downtown Houston, TX. Level and salary commensurate with experience. Essential Job Functions Assist with monthly joint interest billing process Process monthly rebills as required Apply cash for accounts receivable payments Resolve owner inquiries Prepare and record journal entries related to JIB accounts as required Prepare account reconciliations, complete JI Audit requests and maintain SOX compliance Assist with special projects or other accounting related assignments as requested This job description is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of duties and responsibilities of the position.
