What are the responsibilities and job description for the Body Shop Estimator position at Chris Amato's Body Werks?
JOB DUTIES:
**Review repair cost estimates with Body Shop Manager and Insurance Company
**Determine feasibility of repair versus replacement of parts, such as bumpers, fenders, and doors
**Evaluate practicality of repair as opposed to payment of vehicle market value before accident
**Determine salvage value on total vehicle loss
**Prepare insurance forms to indicate repair cost estimate and recommendations
**Estimate cost of repainting, converting to special purposed, or customizing undamaged vehicles
**Present information and respond to questions from co-workers, managers, insurance adjusters, vendors and customers.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
**Minimum of 3 years experience
**Confidence to handle high volume estimating
**Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
**Excellent communication skills, high level of initiative, and ability to work in a team setting
**Basic MS Office knowledge; computer software to include CCC and Mitchell, internet proficiency, and general mathematics skills
**Prior experience in the estimating / body shop / automotive field
**Must have a valid driver's license
**Professional appearance in accordance with body shop policies / dress code
