What are the responsibilities and job description for the Afterschool and Camp Director position at Christ the King School?
The Afterschool & Camp director will be responsible for designing and implementing a program that meets the needs of the children and their families, communicate with staff, children and children’s parents, provide supervision and will work closely with the team to ensure a continuing quality program and a commitment to the mission of Christ the King School.
Duties and Responsibilities include providing activities which stimulate physical, social, emotional, and cognitive growth for children through the use of developmentally appropriate practices. Promoting positive self esteem in children and motivate children toward a positive attitude about school. Communicating on a regular basis with parents to build greater consistency for children. Complying with state guidelines and standards for licensed programs . Reporting to early ed. director and principal about any new staff hired, problems, concerns, issues, emergencies, parent complaints, or equipment needs/repairs. Hiring and maintaining staff as needed for programs.
Christ the King School is a Catholic elementary school in Burlington serving learners of all faiths from three years old through eighth grade.
