Looking for an exciting opportunity to work in the biosecurity field? Christensen Farms is currently hiring a Sanitation Lead at our Trailer Wash located in Atkinson, Nebraska. This is an exciting opportunity to build your leadership skills and make an impact in our day to day biosecurity standards.
This position will oversee day to day operations at trailer wash facility, including scheduling trailers for wash, providing direction to staff, moving equipment as needed to continue the sanitizing process and ensuring safety and bio-security standards are upheld. This position will be expected to work closely with the Supervisor to implement business initiatives and contribute to overall wash performance improvements.
DUTIES
- Assist Trailer Wash Supervisor to ensure execution of all wash and inspection functions to achieve quality, bio-security and safety standards.
- Suggest and assist planning and implementation of agreed upon process improvements and safety best practices.
- Aid in the training and development of staff to support continuous improvements in KPI's focused on quality, cost, efficiency, safety and employee satisfaction.
- Assist with prioritizing and scheduling trailer wash activity and appropriate labor.
- Perform washing and disinfecting of live haul and other equipment
- Operate Bio-Dry Equipment (if applicable)
- Perform light duty maintenance on the facility, equipment or trailers as needed and communicate any issues to the Trailer Wash Supervisor
- Responsible for routine/preventative facility tasks such as yard work, laundry and supply replenishment.
- Functions as a back up to the Trailer Wash Supervisor (if applicable).
QUALIFICATIONS
Position requires a minimum lifting ability of 50 lbs. Ideal candidates will be dependable, able to learn new tasks and follow directions, and work with minimal supervision. Position requires strong attention to detail. Experience with skid loader, forklift, and spotter truck preferred.
