POSITION TITLE
Maintenance  Worker I
DIRECT SUPERVISOR
Operations Manager
POSITION SUMMARY
Works with supervision and instruction from Operations Manager. Basic cleaning, including cleaning of all common areas, restrooms, entrances, elevators, walkways, windows, furniture, fixtures, stairs, chairs, tables, telephones, drinking fountains, trashing, dusting polishing and other assigned items/areas. Responsible for completion of work orders on a daily basis.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• High school diploma or GED required; degree from a vocational school will be a plus.
• Valid Driver’s license
• Minimum of Five years of jobs experience
• Self-starter
• Basic computer knowledge (Microsoft) 
• Able to complete training modules as assigned.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; must be professional and positive.
• Although this position will have set hours; must be willing to work early, late and on weekends as needed (if emergencies come up)
• COVID-19 vaccination is a condition of employment.
• Prolonged periods standing and walking.
• Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Inspect facilities periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance. 
• Patient and non-patient care areas, floor mopping, cleaning and disinfection utilizing necessary equipment, and other job duties as assigned per the needs of the department. 
• Cleans patient exam rooms and restocks janitorial consumables.
• Clean employee offices. Sweep/vacuum floors, empty staff garbage cans, wipe down workstations if desktops are clear.
• Supports quality patient care services by maintaining a clean, sanitary, safe and orderly environment for health care providers as well as patients and visitors of all ages and developmental levels. 
• Cleans and sanitizes all patient/employee bathroom surfaces and objects including, but not limited to, furniture, floors, cabinets, equipment, and bathroom fixtures.
• Cleans and sanitizes employee breakroom surfaces and objects including, but not limited to, furniture, floors, cabinets, equipment, and sink fixtures. 
• Cleans and sanitizes employee breakroom surfaces and objects including, but not limited to, furniture, floors, cabinets, equipment, and sink fixtures. 
• Cleans and sanitizes all high touch surfaces. Including door handles, light switches, countertops,  
• Clean all interior and exterior windows of the building.
• Complete exterior work (landscaping, salt/shovel walkways, cleaning entrances of the building)
• Identifies and reports maintenance requests to appropriate personnel. 
• Assist maintenance team in on/offsite projects.
• Assist maintenance team in patient transportation.
• Perform unplanned/unscheduled cleaning functions in response to spills, accidents, unexpected debris, etc. 
• Stocks equipment and supplies in patient rooms. Replenishes items as needed. 
• Performs general manual labor tasks including loading, unloading, lifting and moving
materials.
• Demonstrates behavior consistent with the operating principles of CCHC and functions as a contributing member of the operations team which meets patient needs through effective communication and commitment to quality outcomes. 
• Other duties as assigned.
