Job Description
Position Summary
Join our dynamic and vibrant Community Life team at our stunning active older adult community, where passion meets purpose! As a Life Enrichment Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in curating and spearheading intellectually stimulating programming and invigorating fitness classes that contribute to the overall well-being of our cherished residents.
Responsibilities:
- Program Leadership: Take charge of our existing lineup of intellectually engaging activities, ensuring a diverse range of options that cater to the interests and preferences of our residents. Foster an environment that promotes curiosity, creativity, and continuous learning.
- Fitness Class Facilitation: Lead weekly fitness classes designed to enhance the physical health and vitality of our residents. From gentle yoga sessions to energizing aerobics, you'll create an inclusive and enjoyable fitness experience for participants of all levels.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other members of the Community Life team, specifically the Director of Community Life, to ensure seamless integration of programs and events. Collaborate with residents, staff, and external partners to enhance the overall community experience.
- Resident Engagement: Build strong relationships with residents, understanding their preferences, needs, and aspirations. Act as a resource and advocate, actively seeking feedback to continuously improve and tailor programs to the evolving interests of our community.
Qualifications:
- Passion for working with older adults and creating a positive community atmosphere.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills to manage various activities simultaneously.
- Creativity and innovation to design and implement engaging programs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Background in fitness instruction or a related field is a plus.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications & Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification preferred.
- Minimum of 1-year experience in social or recreational programming.
- Minimum of 1-year experience working with senior adults.
- Appropriate licensure to drive small bus.
- Ability to work with all residents and families to evaluate residents’ needs.
- Must be able to read, write and speak the English language.
- Knowledgeable with computer applications; Microsoft Office.
- Must possess excellent customer service skills.
Working Conditions / Physical Requirements
- Moderate physical effort required by handling objects up to 50 pounds occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently.
- Sits, stands, bends and moves intermittently during working hours.
- Is subject to frequent interruptions.
- Interacts with residents, family members, visitors frequently.
