What are the responsibilities and job description for the Server position at Christwood?
Christwood is seeking motivated individuals to join our team in providing quality service to our residents and clients. FT and PT positions available for multiple restaurants in a country club style setting. Positions offer flexible scheduling, guaranteed hours and a steady income with a competitive starting rate and a performance-based incentive structure. Experience preferred but not required.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Server courteously and professionally serves all residents and their guests meals in the dining room and may need to help serve and clean in the kitchen; maintains a neat and orderly work area and informs the Dining Leads of food needs and resident likes or dislikes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Taking residents and guest food orders, serving food and bussing tables when the meal has been completed and resetting the table.
- Makes certain guest checks are filled our accurately and thoroughly
- Keeps area neat and orderly at all times and follows daily sanitation cleaning schedules and checklists
- Cooperates and coordinates work activities with co-workers to ensure efficient and uninterrupted services.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
- Pre-setting tables in assigned area and following serving and cleaning procedures as outlined
- Be familiar with the menu for the day with special regard to chef specials
- Being courteous to residents and their guests
- Responsible for obtaining and maintaining proper training and certification as required by the state for alcohol service
- Remembers resident names and is alert to the likes and dislikes of residents when serving food and making the Dining Leads promptly aware of any problems.
- Attends in-service training sessions with co-workers to keep abreast of current knowledge in the field.
- Maintains a working knowledge of Therapeutic Diets, Allergy Precautions, and ServSafe Food Handlers Guidelines.
- Reports damaged or broken items to the FOH Lead
- Performs other specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisors
- Has flexible schedule/availability in order to cover shifts from 6 am to 10 pm as needed, as well as weekends, holidays, and natural disasters
