Serves as the Utilities Supervisor, Facilities Department, and is responsible for the effective management and supervision of assigned employees, tools, equipment and other resources in the accomplishment of contract requirements specified within the Facilities Department of the assigned contract.

Essential Duties & Job Functions:
- Exercises supervision over all assigned craft shops and crafts persons. This includes, but is not limited to Wastewater, Water, Gas, High voltage electric, Generators, Fire Suppression, Airstart and 400hz electric systems and crafts persons.
- Accomplishes work in accordance with authorized Corrective Maintenance (CM) Work Orders, Preventive Maintenance, and Standing Operating Orders. Complies with work schedules and contract requirements for response and performance. Provides Work Order feedback in accordance with established procedures.
- Inspects work in progress and completed work to ensure accomplishment in most effective and efficient manner. Interfaces with other Branches, customers and Government representatives as required to achieve maximum productivity. Monitors work to ensure cost control (including minimization of overtime/lost time), effective use of tools, equipment, and materials, scope (including the documentation of changes to support job amendments), and the quality of work performed.
- Constantly seeks to improve service to the customer at reduced cost. Makes suggestions related to use of improved procedures, methods, technology, tools and equipment, and human resources to achieve improved productivity, quality and cost performance.
- Investigates problems with equipment operation, maintenance and breakdown to determine root cause. Recommends changes to operations and maintenance (O&M) procedures to deficiencies.
- Controls tools, equipment, materials and vehicles to ensure inventory control, effective utilization, safe and proper operation, cleanliness, and cost effectiveness. Turns in excess, damaged or unserviceable items in accordance with current procedures.
- Acts as designated replacement for the Facilities Manager during the incumbent’s temporary absence.
- Serves as the Duty Officer on a rotational schedule as assigned by the Project Manager.
- Subject to emergency call-back at all hours and for extended periods during emergency situations.
Mandatory:
- Five years' direct experience in a minimum of one supervised craft with working knowledge of two other applicable craft skills.
- Must have demonstrated ability to effectively supervise multiple crafts, operational utility systems and assigned resources (equipment, material and personnel).
- Prior experience as a first line supervisor is required. Must possess good communication skills (verbal, written, listening).
- Possess an OSHA 30 card or have the ability to get one within the first 90 days of employment.
- Must have a High School Diploma, college graduate preferred.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English to the 12th grade level.
- Possess a valid Nevada Driver’s License.
- Must be able to receive a favorable security rating from a National Agency Check and Background Investigation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CMMS utilization, MAXIMO preferred.
