Job Description
This Training Program is designed for Team Members who would like to get practical experience in Beverage Operations, specifically in the position of Bartender.
The Bartender Trainee will be able to gain approximately 500 hours (3 months) of on-the-job training, education and experience necessary to perform the position successfully and complete all tasks listed in the Work Plan Outline. Bartender Trainees will be exposed to various beverage preparation, serving and related duties during the program.
Upon successful completion the Bartender Trainee program, Team Members will be given a certificate of completion that can be used toward experience when applying to available positions.
Job Responsibilities
- Mix and serve alcoholic beverages and/or non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and procedures.
- Mix and serve beverages in a prompt and efficient manner.
- Participate in receiving and issuing liquor and supplies in conjunction with a Beverage Manager or Supervisor and help to maintain accurate tracking and inventories of spirits and wines.
- Maintain a neat and clean bar station on a continual basis.
- Monitor guest needs on a continual basis, ensuring all requests are promptly fulfilled.
- Maintain knowledge of ABC Codes, the Dram Shop Act and bartender’s responsibilities and rights under it and Complete Alcohol Awareness Training and passes the test associated with the course, as well as other relevant training.
- Maintain compliance with all regulations of health and sanitation standards as well as all applicable federal, state, local laws and ordinances; to include maintaining applicable food safety certification.
- Maintain knowledge of all Gaming and beverage regulations applicable to position.
- Participate as a team member with all Beverage Servers, Bar-backs, Beverage Stewards, Supervisors, and other CGRC Team Members to ensure efficient operational standard.
Job Requirements
Must be 21 years of age or older.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills required
Previous experience working in a food and beverage department required.
Previous experience working in a customer service position preferred.
High School diploma or GED preferred.
