We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst to play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of our portfolio companies through comprehensive market research and customer insights.
This is a contract-to-hire role designed for a generalist researcher who can adeptly analyze market trends, conduct competitive analysis, and deliver valuable customer insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Market Research:
- Conduct thorough and creative market research to evaluate company position relative to competitors.
- Customer Insights:
- Design and execute studies to gather customer insights.
- Develop hypotheses on major problems to solve and use them as a basis for ideation.
- Facilitate customer cohort discussions, manage questions, analyze results, and validate prototypes through customer feedback.
- Present findings and actionable insights to senior management.
- Strategic Analysis:
- Synthesize client, competitor, and customer information to identify key problems and opportunities.
- Create associations and sequence information to develop clear, data-driven recommendations.
Qualifications
- 2-3 years of consulting experience, preferably with top-tier consulting firms or venture studios.
- Proven experience in market research, customer insights, and prototype development.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong critical reasoning skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proficient in data analysis tools and methodologies.
- Bonus points for experience in project management and creating consulting decks.
- High tolerance for ambiguity and ability to work independently.
