Job Role : AV Support Engineer
Duration : 6 months Contract
Location : Charlotte, NC
The contractor will be responsible for the following :
Daily Room Sweeps : Perform daily inspections of all conference rooms, perform basic AV troubleshooting, and document results for the team.
Break / Fix : Troubleshoot AV equipment in response to technical questions or reported issues, identify appropriate solutions, or perform tasks as directed by the AV engineers.
AV Integration Work : Assist with installing and replacing TVs when needed and oversee smaller projects completed by our AV integrators. This may include decommissioning, troubleshooting, and upgrading rooms (e.g., adding and removing chargers).
Inventory Management : Assist with inventory management, including sorting and stocking equipment as needed.
Signage : Deploy digital content and troubleshoot issues related to our digital signage.
Event and Meeting Support : Provide audiovisual support for live events and meetings hosted by Credit Karma (approximately 5 hours for events and 8 hours for meeting support).
End-User Training : Provide basic instruction on the operation of AV equipment to employees as needed.
Triage JIRA Tickets : Assist with triaging, assigning, and escalating incoming AV tickets.
Team Coverage : Provide coverage for the AV / VC team during meetings, holidays, and sick leave.
Required Skills :
At least A2 event-level experience (e.g., fitting presenters with over-the-ear microphones or lavaliers, managing microphones for Q&A events).
Knowledge of Zoom administration and webinars.
Understanding of video conferencing hardware.
Strong customer relations and interpersonal communication skills.
Proven troubleshooting experience.
