What are the responsibilities and job description for the Traffic Control Technician position at Cillessen & Sons Inc.?
Cillessen and Sons Inc. is looking for an experienced traffic control technician in the Lawrence / Topeka area.
Candidate must have at least two years experience with relevant traffic control or highway construction, be able to read plans, produce daily field reports, report quantities, and be the point of contact for prime contractors and inspectors.
Responsibilities include:
Set up and removal of traffic control devices such as cones, barricades, and signs according to plans and communication with contractors.
Site inspection of traffic control work zones.
Read maps and interpret traffic control plans through communication with project contractor, project inspector, and other Cillessen and Sons supervisors.
Prepare and submit required daily field reports, time sheets, load list, and material usage reports on job site.
Follow and enforce Cillessen and Sons safety policies
Requirements:
Minimum two years experience with traffic control or highway construction
Excellent communication skills
Valid drivers license
Must be able to work a flexible schedule
