Job Description:
- Ensure adherence to all documented procedures, processes, and sequeces during real-time testing and post-test.
- Identify and document discrepancies.
- Segregate and control non-conforming items.
- Identify the required test parameters.
- Verify complex product conformance to the design requirements.
- Observe job processes, tasks, and work products to ensure freedom from errors, omissions, or defects.
- Provide feedback and recommend solutions to ensure process compliance.
- Review, analyze, and interpret inspection results and develop solutions.
- Provide expertise and leadership to customers and team members in all areas of product verification and acceptance.
- Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration at this time.
- Cimarron employees are required to follow federal, state, and local laws regarding COVID-19 practices, as well as customer requirements.
- Ability to obtain access to a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) facility. Access to the facility requires a background investigation by U.S. Government authorities. This is a sensitive/safety-sensitive position and is subject to DOT random drug and alcohol testing.
- Ability to pass a physical examination (visual acuity, color perception, respiratory, etc.) to meet production certification and safety requirements.
- Ability and willingness to become SCAPE (self-contained atmospheric protective ensemble) suit certified. The SCAPE suit is a garment that is worn to protect personnel engaged in the handling of oxidizers and hypergolic propellants. This certification requires passing a series of strenuous physical exams in addition to working in a hazardous environment.
- Must be able to work 1st shift (6:30 AM - 3:00 PM), 2nd shift (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM), overtime, and weekends, as needed.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs unassisted.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods (8 hours or more).
- Must be able to stoop, bend, crawl, and maneuver in tight spaces.
- Must be able to climb ladders, stairways, and scaffolding.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
Technical Qualifications:
- 5 or more years of related experience.
- Experience performing quality inspections in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
- Ability to identify repetitive or significant non-conformances and initiate requests for corrective action.
- Experience following detailed work instructions and reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, drawings, or specifications.
- Knowledge of precision measurement tools and techniques.
- Experience with the following types of hand inspection tools, such as calipers, digital optical micrometers, depth gages, thread gages, go/no-go gages, etc.
- Experience with the inspection of parts, components, and assemblies.
- Strong attention to detail.
