- Transport patients to/from the medical center while adhering to safety requirements
- Provide patient care during transport and give full report to clinical staff at receiving facility
- Perform skills as established by CCHMC Transport Team policy and the State of Ohio Board of EMS
- Independently assess department/patient needs and respond within the scope of practice
- Promptly respond to requests from patients, families, and colleagues
- Demonstrate compliance with physical requirements of lifting, pushing, and carrying up to 400 lbs
- Integrate age-specific and culturally diverse concepts into patient care
- Comply with HIPAA guidelines

EMT:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of work experience in Fire, EMS, or Patient Transport
- Ohio Paramedic Certification at time of hire; Kentucky Paramedic certification within 6 months of hire
- NREMT within 6 months of hire
- Current driver's license & good driving record must be maintained; points not to exceed 5
