Duties and Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL:

• Identifies, selects, and manages global supplier relationships for assigned commodities (low/medium spend commodities) to ensure that products and services are delivered to the quality, cost and delivery performance levels required
• ensure all engineering, customer, security, and EHS requirements are met
• Analyzes MRP/APS and planning of direct, and material planning for new products
• Supports new product introductions by securing material for pilot runs
• Leads and drives variable cost productivity efforts related to assigned commodity/products.
• Reviews RFQ packages and spreadsheet analysis to make recommendations for improvement
• Identifies potential suppliers and makes recommendations on supplier selection and quality compliance
• Performs supplier negotiations and determines most competitive total cost solutions using creativity and latitude

Education and Experience:
REQUIRED:

• Seven or more years related experience

VALUED BUT NOT REQUIRED:

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma
• CPIM/CIRM Certification

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Characteristics, etc.

REQUIRED:

• Must possess a strong technical knowledge and practical experience in a manufacturing procurement environment
• Must understand and assist in successful vendor performance review program
• Must be aware of current practices in procurement, first and second tier suppliers to ensure 100% on time material delivery
