What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Service Engineer position at Cincinnati Test Systems?
The Field Service Engineer position is a field-based, customer-facing role that installs, commissions, services, maintains and modifies Cincinnati Test Systems' equipment at our customer sites. The Field Service Engineers will often work in a team environment with assistance from lead or senior engineers, project managers and the field service manager, but also as required individually. We are looking for a candidate that has excellent communication skills and a great attitude.
Education
- Associates Degree in a technical field or relevant work experience
Experience
- At least 2 years' experience in control system design of automation and industrial equipment; Allen Bradley PLC programming and machine startup/debug.
- Experience in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical hardware issues;
- Basic understanding of LabVIEW and C#, is a plus.
Position Criteria
- Availability to work evening and weekend hours. Frequent U.S. travel will be required by automobile and airplane to support clients throughout North America. Occasional international travel is likely to support global customers.
- Ability to be on-call and respond to customer emergencies. Frequent overnights, 50-75% of the time are common depending on project schedules.
- Customer service/communication skills and the ability to handle difficult customer situations is essential
- Valid Driver's License without restriction
