Digital Storytelling & Social Media Internship (Paid Student Opportunity)
Circle of Care St. Louis | Part-Time | Fall 2025 Cohort
Location: Hybrid (some in-person filming required in the St. Louis metropolitan area)
About the Role
Are you a student with a passion for storytelling, video, and social impact? Join Circle of Care St. Louis as a Digital Storytelling & Social Media Intern. You'll interview real people, capture powerful community stories, and create reels and social media content that moves people to action.
This internship is ideal for students in:
- Communications
- Journalism
- Film & Media
- Marketing
- Public Health / Social Work (with creative interest)
Responsibilities
- Interview clients, caregivers, volunteers, and community leaders
- Film and edit short-form video content (Instagram/Facebook Reels)
- Write captions and accompanying stories for social media posts
- Assist with storyboarding, scheduling, and publishing content
- Attend and cover local wellness events, trainings, or campaigns
- Ensure content follows HIPAA and dignity-first storytelling practices
️ Skills & Qualifications
- Strong interest in nonprofit communications, journalism, or video storytelling
- Experience using tools like Canva, InShot, CapCut, Adobe Rush, or similar
- Access to smartphone with HD video or personal DSLR/mirrorless camera
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Respectful, culturally competent, and sensitive to vulnerable populations
Compensation & Support
- Stipend: $750–$1,200 depending on commitment
- Hours: 8–12 hours/week
- Term: 10–12 weeks (Fall 2025 or Spring 2026 cohort)
- Receive mentorship, portfolio development, and community networking
