Quality Control Inspector
Pay Rate:
$16 /hour, depending on skillset and experience

Position Overview:
Quality Control Inspectors are responsible for assuring production staff are following GMPs and food safety and quality guidelines. Quality Control Inspectors oversee the safe manufacturing of all final products.
Working Conditions:
- Work involves daily exposure to unusual elements, such as dirt, dust, fumes, and/or noise.
- Daily exposure to physical risks, such as working around mechanical equipment, forklifts and electrical hazards.
- Requires the ability to stand; walking around plant; lifting and carrying boxes up to 50 pounds; utilizing fine dexterity; and reaching, kneeling and twisting.
- Must be able to work flexible schedule to include days, afternoons, night and weekend work, including the possibility of overtime.
- You will be working in a fast-paced environment with distracting conditions.
- Walking or standing 100% of shift.
Responsibilities, Skills and Experience:
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Keen attention to detail
- Responsible for inspecting and monitoring the manufacturing and packaging of products
- Assuring that production adheres to food safety and company standards and procedures, including following all GMPs
- Accurately complete and turn in any job-related forms
- Perform Daily, Weekly and Monthly Inspections to ensure the maintenance of a clean and safe plant in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices and Pre-Requisite Programs.
- Assist the front-line supervisory staff in ensuring adherence to GMP and HACCP program compliance.
- Responsible for collecting microbiological and chemical samples
- Attend departmental meetings
- Complete routine and refresher training
Qualifications:
- Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus
- Ability to stand or walk for an average of 8 hours a day
- A minimum of 1 year of experience within food manufacturing
Other Duties:
- Follow food safety and quality protocols.
- Follow GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), housekeeping and safe work practices.
- Other duties as assigned.
