Front Desk Associate - Weekend ShiftsBecome a part of one of the Bay Area’s most beloved arts organizations. Circus Center is hiring for a Front Desk Associate to ensure outstanding customer service for our weekend program participants.Reports to: Front Desk ManagerEmployment Type: P/T Hourly; 15 hours per weekEmployment Schedule: Saturday 8:45 am - 5:15 pm; Sunday 9:45 am - 5:15 pm Location: On‐site at Circus Center, 755 Frederick Street, San Francisco, CA Hourly rate: Hourly rate: $20-22/hour, DOE Benefits: Sick time and discounts on classes Duties Include:Open facility Greet students, staff, and community membersCheck in students as they arrive for programsAssist students with the management of their class registration accounts and schedulesPerform financial transactions related to services and merchandiseProperly log and drop daily cash salesAnswer questions about our services, faculty, and facilityRespond to phone calls, emails and in-person communicationReceive mail, packages, and deliveriesMaintain an organized and welcoming lobbyClose facility at the end of last classPerform tasks as assigned by the Front Desk Manager to support the Circus Center MissionRequirements While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly required to sit, walk, stand, and climb stairs; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to finger, handle, feel or operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 30 pounds unassisted. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus.While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to various components of an office environment such as fluorescent lighting, pollen, dust, recycled air, cooling fans, VDTs, semi-enclosed areas, seasonal warmer/cooler temperatures and office noise.Qualifications:High school graduate, GED, or equivalent.At least 2 years of experience in a relevant position(s). Prior front desk reception experience is desirable.Demonstrated work experience in an administrative position showing a high level of organizational skills, exceptional dependability, and a meticulous attention to detail.Solid understanding of customer service practices and principles.Good interpersonal, analytical, mathematical, writing, and oral communication skills.Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.Strong computer skills with the ability to learn new programs quickly and accurately.Proficiency in Google Workspace.About Circus Center Originally founded in 1974 as The Pickle Family Circus, today Circus Center remains a vibrant hub of the circus community on the West Coast.
