All security officers must show good judgment and common sense, follow directions and directives from supervisors, and follow company policy and guidelines. They must have a professional appearance and attitude and be able to interact with the public.
Responsibilities:
- Identify possible security risks, take appropriate measures and notify dispatch supervisors and corresponding client contacts
- Monitor access control by recording all visitors who enter and leave the property on a trucking log and/or enter the information into
- Request that all visitors who enter or leave the property have the appropriate documents
- Must physically verify container or trucks capacity status
- Direct drivers to assigned gates
- Monitor entrance of property through surveillance
- Maintain a written log of all daily activities per shift
Job Requirements:
Education: Must have a high school diploma, GED or higher
Age: Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
Computer Skills: Data entry
Licenses: Must have and maintain a current and valid Guard Card (issued by the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services).
Other:
- If given a conditional job offer, applicant must pass criminal background check
- If given a conditional job offer, applicant must pass drug screening test
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must have good English communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to speak Spanish helpful
Reports to:
Officers report directly to the Dispatcher and Supervisor working during their assigned shift. At locations where there is a Post Commander, Shift Lead and/or senior level officer, the security officer will report to these individuals as outlined in the post orders for the location. They may also be required to report to onsite client contacts.
Location:
Locations that security officers work vary depending upon assignment. Security officers may report to the same location on a regular basis, or locations may vary on a daily basis.
Shift:
Security operations run 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Shift assignments may vary depending upon location.
Previous experience working as a security officer, may make you a good fit for this role.

Pay: $17.00 per hour
