Citigroup Global Markets Inc. seeks a Structurer for its New York, NY location.
Duties: Provide thought leadership to drive revenue optimizations for Citi Markets Franchise related to funding and liquidity as a financial resource. Design, validate, produce, and systematize reporting of liquidity resources and utilization required to improve the risk management and optimization of the financial resource. Develop Proof-of-Concept liquidity reporting to provide traders and management with additional levels of granular business performance statistics which articulate changes to liquidity usage. Collaborate with Traders and Technology partners along with control functions such as Finance, Treasury & Risk to ensure appropriate governance and controls. Advise Risk, Finance, Technology, and Product groups on issues to ensure systems and processes are producing accurate liquidity reporting and economic impacts. Review liquidity usage footprint and deep dive into analysis to better understand the drivers of forecasted/modelled liquidity expectations as well as downstream impacts to regulatory and internal liquidity metrics for individual transactions/business activity in order to identify areas for potential optimization. Analyze and apply statistical techniques and data mining skills to model business activity and conduct cross-products analyses to predict liquidity usage under various stress & BAU scenarios. Contribute to the development and execution of liquidity modelling exercises to support the business planning process and optimal funding strategy. Review and optimize Citi funding strategy across a combination of regulatory (LCR, NSFR, TLAC) and internal liquidity requirements and recommend cost-effective funding strategies including combinations of various secured and unsecured sources of liquidity to ensure the institution remains sufficiently funded. Identify, develop, and execute liquidity optimizations and structure more efficient financial transactions/solutions. Assess and develop potential improvements to forecasting models to support optimizations. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Finance, Business, Computer Science, or a related field, and two (2) years of experience in the job offered, or in a related occupation in the financial services industry. Two (2) years of experience must include: Working with investment products offered by Broker Dealer institutions including Derivatives, Debt Instruments and Equity Investments; Analyzing potential business and investment performance with regards to changing financial market conditions and financial regulation frameworks; Leveraging large and various data sets to produce ad-hoc analysis and reporting to predict, model and test future financial performance; Conducting computer programming using analytical tools including VBA & Python to enable development of proof-of concept technology tools and reporting; and Utilizing financial accounting concepts including GAAP Balance Sheet, Income Statement and Cashflow Statement to understand financial reporting impacts of business activity including assets, liabilities, shareholder's equity, revenues, expenses and cash flows. 40 hrs./wk.
