Surgical Coordinator

Responsibilities:
- Accurately scheduling surgeries or medical procedures.
- Verify patient’s demographics and assist patient in completing accurate documentation that is needed.
- Arrange all pre-testing appointments with appropriate doctor to obtain medical clearance to move forward with surgery or medical procedure.
- Schedule post-surgery appointments for patients.
- Enter necessary notes/special instructions as needed and keeping medical records up to date.
- Ensure scheduling details are up to date and correct, such as guaranteeing surgery is scheduled with the appropriate provider, time and location.
- Must be able to communicate with insurance companies to finalize details, obtain a pre-authorization for the procedure and sort out necessary details.
- Place confirmation calls to all appropriate parties prior to scheduled surgery.
- Provides accurate, detailed information to patients regarding test preparations, time of patient's scheduled arrival, and any other directional information needed; takes appropriate action in responding to questions from patients.
- Serves as a liaison between physicians, surgeons and patients for the communication of all information regarding the scheduled procedures.
- Perform other related duties.

Hourly Rate/ Salary is depending on experience.

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
