Job Summary
The Community Engagement Specialist is an integral part of the Bank’s community involvement efforts.
This role serves as an external community liaison and an internal community builder by supporting bank initiatives and events. This position will create brand awareness through successful community partnerships.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field
- Two to three years of experience in a professional marketing/public relations capacity or other professional experience associated with this area
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and Adobe Creative Suite
- Knowledge of social media management platforms
- Project management experience preferred

- Ability to be tactful and effectively work with public, customers, team members and peers
- Must be self-motivated and possess the ability to work well independently and within a team
- Graphic design skills are preferred

- Ensure all internal and external events are posted on social media channels across all platforms
- Provide strategic development and consistent engagement of social media channels
- Oversee and organize all community engagement efforts including sponsorships and memberships
- Actively involved within the community, promoting the bank and all services offered
- Support and ensure representation for external Bank-sponsored events
- Manage the planning and execution of all internal Bank events (i.e., holiday parties, staff meetings, employee socials, etc.)
- Support Human Resources with employee relation efforts
- Design graphics for in-bank signage, social media, sponsorships, advertisements in publications, etc.
- Assist with media relations including, but not limited to, press release writing, media pitching, media tracking
- Ad hoc projects that support Marketing and customer relations as needed
Equipment Operation
- Microsoft Office Products – Word, PowerPoint, Excel
- Equipment – computer, calculator, fax, copier, telephone, printer
- Ability to navigate outside internet websites
Work Environment
Work is performed sitting at a desk as well as visiting different locations with regular contact with employees and customers in person and on the phone. The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to communicate effectively with others, sit, stand, walk, and use hands to handle keyboard, telephone, paper, files, and other equipment and objects. The position requires the ability to review detailed documents and read computer screens.
