Job Title: Commercial Loan Assistant / Processor

SUMMARY
Provides professional support to lending team, processing of loan files, requesting appropriate documentation and ensuring file is complete. Assists loan officers in activities such as disbursement of funds and extension of loans. Answers customer inquiries and solves routine problems in which precedent has been set.
ESENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Processes applications and necessary documents for loans.
Assists loan officers in review of financial documentation and preparation of loan memos.
Prepares loan closing packages and works with third parties to coordinate closings.
Works directly with clients and loan officers on construction loan projects including draws and coordinating inspections.
Works with other bank personnel to assist customers to obtain and retain deposit accounts.
Must possess ability to work with others in a team environment and follow work rules and procedures.
Must be able to accept direction and coaching from supervisors.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE. High school diploma or equivalent; six months to one year experience in lending support.
LANGUAGE SKILLS. Ability to read and comprehend instructions, procedures, correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractures and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
REASONING ABILITY. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
