Overview
We have an exciting opportunity as an Utility Specialist to join our team!
The Utility Specialist position works in all areas of Water Distribution. This position completes assignments in both of the operating areas of System Integrity and Underground Maintenance and Construction. This position completes various tasks such as operating leak detection units, investigating and planning for system repairs, replacements and installations, processing of paperwork and additional administrative/clerical tasks related to job processing. This position fills in for off duty as needed in the Distribution area and may require assistance with training and directing others on job completion. Participation in the on call rotation for Water Distribution may be required along with the ability to work extended hours, including on the 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift.
**This position will be working Monday-Friday 3pm-11pm.**

Minimum Salary:$59,700 (Grade 7)
Responsibilities
- Operation of the leak investigation units
- Required to work outside normal business hours as conditions and the needs of the company warrant.
- When dealing with contractors enforce all Citizens Water standards and rules and ensure all Citizens Water polices and procedures are upheld.
- Ensure that corrections are made to the GIS mapping system when discrepancies are found in the field.
- Processing of appropriate paperwork for completed jobs and ensuring that system forms and records are completed properly, including time, invoicing, etc
- Works with customers to resolve service issues and problems
- Required to fill in all non union positions when a vacancy occurs
- Required to plan work on a day to day basis
- Performs other duties and/or activities as assigned
Qualifications
- Must maintain a Valid Indiana Drivers License
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Ability to work in various positions, which require but are not limited to sitting, bending, standing, walking, climbing or lifting
- The ability to read drawings, blue prints and maps and interpret procedural and operating manuals.
- Must demonstrate a working ability to use electronic devices for CMMS, GIS and work processing.
Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
- 10years of experience in the Water Distribution field or related experience.
- Distribution System Large License from IDEM
