What are the responsibilities and job description for the Coding Technician position at Citizens Memorial?
Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) is recruiting a Coding Technician to join our team in the Foundation Billing department.
Foundation Coding department provides to the organization concise, accurate, appropriate coding of patient encounters for appropriate reimbursement and statistical purposes.
A typical day will include: performing diagnostic/procedural coding functions of the organization; actively and consistently contributing to the department operations and communications; behaving in a manner consistent with the mission and objectives of CMH and performing other duties as requested.
This position is: Part-time Days
Job Requirements:
Education: High School diploma or equivalent required; In lieu of accreditation or certification, two years coding experience with education in anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, and other related courses required. Preferred Education and Training; Formal Hospital Information Management education or experience with accreditation or certification at the National Level is preferred. Certification is key to advancement
Experience: Required Three years of coding related experience
Skills: N/A
Licensure/Certification: CCS;CCS-P;RHIT
