What are the responsibilities and job description for the Universal Banker - Teller - Customer Service position at Citizens National Bank (Cheboygan, MI)?
Citizens National Bank is seeking full-time Universal Banker (teller/customer service) to join our team .
Primary Function: Provide a variety of customer savings, checking and credit account transactions. Provide exceptional customer service and basic information through counter-based transactions. Provides assistance to new and established financial institution customers.
Principal Responsibilities and Duties:
- Is responsible for comprehensive prompt and efficient customer transactions. Receives checks and cash for deposits to accounts, verifies amounts, examines checks for proper endorsement and enters deposits into computer records.
- Cashes checks from a variety of accounts upon proper verification.
- Receives mortgage, consumer and other payments.
- Balance cash drawer at the end of the day. Report any discrepancies to the supervisor as necessary.
- Maintains knowledge of bank products and services and is able to cross-sell.
- Ensure that the teller station is properly stocked with supplies.
- Maintaining and balancing the cash vault.
- Provide Notary services as necessary.
- Assist customers in the safety deposit box area.
- Opening and closing of the Branch following proper procedures and guidelines.
- Works in Saturday rotation schedule
- Comply with all laws, regulations, bank policies and procedures, including specifically Citizens National Bank’s Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering Policy and procedures, and its Customer Identification Program.
- Maintain regular consistent attendance, personal appearance, punctuality, and adherence to applicable health and safety procedures.
- Establish and maintain efficient working relationships with supervisors, co-workers, and the customers.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Good interpersonal communication and computer skills, ability to operate standard office equipment
- Ability to travel to all branch locations as needed
