Description
The Community Engagement Coordinator is a member of the Community Engagement Team and is primarily responsible for the coordination and execution of Skills-Based Volunteerism programming, engaging Citizens’ colleagues with nonprofit capacity building projects across the Bank’s footprint.
Specific Responsibilities
- Coordinate a series of Skills-Based Volunteerism (SBV) programs to support large scale volunteer opportunities as well as smaller business line efforts on an annual basis
- Source and develop nonprofit partner capacity building projects for Day of Service events, as well as for team projects for various business lines
- Work collaboratively across all business lines to identify colleagues and teams with specific skill sets that can be offered as capacity building services to community nonprofit partners
- Develop colleague asset map across business lines to keep a roster of colleagues and teams that can provide meaningful support to nonprofit partners
- Coordinate annual SBV Pitch Competition event in partnership with Early Career Development Program
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure SBV efforts are aligned with development opportunities/initiatives
- Develop and gather content and metrics to support storytelling efforts
- Collaborate with members of the Community Engagement and broader Corporate Affairs teams on additional projects supporting team and department objectives
- Strict adherence to corporate risk and compliance guidelines and policies.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in the corporate, nonprofit, media or government sectors; preferred experience in Corporate Social Responsibility & ESG framework
- Experience engaging colleagues in volunteerism
- Experience working/consulting with non-profit partners
- Event coordination/management experience
- Experience working in cross-functional teams
- Experience in project management and engaging key stakeholders in the process
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Demonstrated ability to produce metrics and measurement to assess impact
- Computer Skills: Microsoft Office Suite with focus on PowerPoint and other presentation related platforms like Microsoft Teams, WebEx, Zoom

Hours: 40
Schedule: M-F 8-5 Hybrid 3 days in office in Johnston
