The Real Estate & Insurance Risk Reviewer will be the primary reviewer and point of contact with RMs/PMs in the completion of property insurance reports by external insurance risk vendors as required by Commercial Credit Policy including the identification and analysis of any material differences as compared to bank requirements. Direct interaction with RM/PMs and CLO as Subject Matter Expert in assisting them review a borrower’s property insurance package both on annual renewals and a transactional basis for those loans that do not require a formal external review.

Direct interaction with RM/PMs and CLO as Subject Matter Expert in assisting them review a borrower’s property insurance package both on annual renewals and a transactional basis for those loans that do not require a formal external review.
- Transactional oversight of property and casualty insurance applicable to commercial loans secured by real estate.
- Documenting the adequacy of a borrower’s property insurance package and explaining the significance of any material inadequacies and coverage gaps to the RM/PM and Credit Officer.
- Familiarity with federal flood regulations and willingness to conduct flood insurance reviews on a transactional basis including the review of private flood insurance policies for compliance with federal statutory requirements.
- Periodic review and oversight of insurance standards, review checklists, etc. in conjunction with Corporate Insurance and CLO to ensure that they remain fit-for-purpose.
- 5 years' experience in commercial lines with extensive knowledge of coverages and forms applicable to Property & Casualty (P&C).
- Current, state-issued P&C Insurance License
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Appropriate insurance industry designations such as Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), associate in risk management (ARM), Accredited Advisor in Insurance (AAI), Certified Risk Manager (CRM) and/or Accredited Customer Service Representative (ACSR) (or ongoing pursuit of same)
- Ability to interface with borrower insurance professionals in explaining the bank’s insurance requirements on a transactional basis.
- Comfort in a high-volume, high-energy environment focused upon customer service and quick turnaround times.
- Ability to multi-task and problem solve.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Hours per Week: 40
- Work Schedule: Monday-Friday
