We are seeking a talented and experienced Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis to join the Financial Planning & Analysis team within the Corporate Finance department.

They’ll provide dedicated financial support to the firm’s internal IT organization and broader indirect spending areas. Annual internal IT spend is approximately $35M-$40M and has reached a level of complexity requiring a finance-embedded partner.

This role sits at the intersection of Finance and IT and requires a candidate who is fluent in both financial analysis and cost structures, as well as can operate comfortably with senior finance and technology leadership. In addition to IT, this role will support other indirect spending categories over time, including but not limited to real estate, internal staffing, and large, firmwide IT initiatives.

Responsibilities Are, But Not Limited To

Finance Support for IT & Indirect Spend

  • Serve as the primary Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Partner to the internal IT organization, including but not limited to direct interaction with the CIO, CSO, and IT service line leaders.
  • Collaborate with IT leadership on the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and multi-year investment plans.
  • Monitor, track, report, and forecast financial performance of IT investments and major initiatives.
  • Identify financial risks, issues, and opportunities within the IT organization and broaden indirect spending.

Month-End Close & Reporting

  • Perform month-end close activities related to IT and indirect spending.
  • Produce variance analysis and executive-level financial reporting for Finance and firm leadership.
  • Partner with FP&A and Accounting to ensure accurate classification, accruals, and reporting.

Project, Capital & Vendor Oversight

  • Collaborate with PMO and IT leadership on the financial oversight of large IT programs and projects.
  • Review of IT project requests to ensure appropriate CapEx vs. OpEx treatment and ROI analysis.
  • Monitor IT vendor payments to ensure proper coding to cost centers and accounts.
  • Support financial oversight of large IT projects, internal staffing models, and real estate-related expenditure.

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Act as a finance liaison across FP&A, Accounting, Procurement, IT, and firm leadership.
  • Engage regularly with the Head of FP&A, Head of Accounting, CFO, CSO, CIO, Director of Procurement, and IT leaders.

Qualifications

The Ideal Candidate Must

  • 5 years of experience in FP&A, finance, or financial analysis roles with a strong focus on IT and indirect spending.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting IT contracting for hardware, software, managed services, and consulting.
  • Strong understanding of IT components and financial classification, including but not limited to hardware vs. software vs. services, CapEx vs. OpEx treatment, and ongoing support, licensing, and maintenance costs.
  • Can understand IT sourcing models (one-time purchases, recurring support, implementation consulting, managed services).
  • Can communicate effectively with both Finance and IT stakeholders, including but not limited to senior leadership.
  • Experience in large, complex organizations (PE-backed or public company preferred).

Additional Requirements

  • Initial ramp-up will be intensive as IT spending and programs are fully absorbed into FP&A oversight.
  • Overtime scope may expand to include additional indirect spending areas, including but not limited to facilities and real estate, depending on capacity.
