WORK LOCATIONS:
Municipal Services Building, 2625 E. Glendale Ave, Appleton
City Center, 100 N Appleton St. Appleton
- Uses range pole or level rod to establish vertical and horizontal control.
- Sets grade stakes for construction projects.
- Inspects various construction projects for compliance with plans and specifications.
- Reads, interprets and understands construction plans and specifications.
- Maintains effective communication with the contractor, public and other employees.
- Performs basic engineering calculations and functions.
- Operates a motor vehicle.
- Maintains accurate notes and records.
- Performs miscellaneous inspection related tasks.
- Performs maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
- Performs miscellaneous survey related tasks.
- Operates a City vehicle.
- Ability to traverse construction sites to perform inspection duties.
- Ability to perform basic engineering calculations and functions.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to perform manual labor under varying weather conditions.
- Ability to deal with the public in a courteous manner.
- Must be able to provide own steel toed shoes.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Must be at least eighteen years of age.
