ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
- Report to site at least 30 minutes prior to first scheduled game each Tuesday.
- Supervise fields used by Appleton Parks and Recreation within Appleton Memorial Park.
- Be a check in point for all flag football staff.
- Set up all equipment and fields.
- Hand out balls, staff binders, and any other needed equipment.
- Maintain a safe playing atmosphere and environment.
- Referee games, if needed.
- Monitor condition of equipment, recommending replacement when needed.
- Complete facility check sheet.
- Complete accident report forms for any injury requiring treatment.
- At the conclusion of the games drop off the following at the designated site:
- score sheets
- pay sheets
- facility check sheet
- accident report forms, if any
- Return and secure equipment and supplies to equipment bins at the completion of the games.
- Hand out end of season awards to coaches.
- Keep cellular phone in proper operating mode.
- Report vandalism, damaged equipment, or building faults to Program Coordinator.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
- Assist Program Coordinator with office tasks prior to the season including copying, computer work, assembling binders and packets, and attending meetings.
- Assist Program Coordinator with staff evaluations.
- Monitor facility, equipment, participants, and staff.
- Shall wear Parks and Recreation staff uniform per the City of Appleton dress code.
- Sign own name on the results/pay sheet for hours worked.
- Provide a central reference point for all site and program related inquiries by the public and participants.
- Manage spectator environment and call police if necessary.
- Maintain First Aid equipment at the site.
- Knowledge of the sport, set-up, and equipment needs
- Ability to effectively supervise program participants
- Ability to effectively carry out oral and written instructions
- Ability to supervise and maintain control of all "off field" situations
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with fellow staff members and the public in a courteous and tactful manner
- Work closely with Parks & Recreation to ensure all department rules and policies are observed
- Adhere to City of Appleton and Departmental policies and procedures
