We're hiring for 3 summer/short term workers for the Parks Department! The summer/short-term positions are available beginning in August, not to exceed 90 working days. Positions are full-time, up to 40 hours per week, with a preferred schedule of 4 10-hour days, but 5 8-hour days may be available. Performs a variety of semi-skilled maintenance work and operates a variety of hand tools and equipment in the day-to-day operation and maintenance of city parks.
Job Description/ Essential Duties
These job functions are the essential duties of the position and are not all-inclusive of all the duties the incumbent may be assigned.
- Performs a variety of repairs and maintenance work using hand tools and equipment as needed for City facilities and parks.
- Duties include mowing and maintaining parks and athletic fields, grounds, and sprinkler systems, cleaning public restrooms, collecting, and disposing of trash, painting and minor carpentry and landscaping (trees, flowers).
