What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lifeguard (Seasonal) position at City of Biddeford?
Lifeguards (FT or PT)
The City of Biddeford’s Recreation Department is looking for lifeguards. Opportunities include both river (Rotary Park) and three ocean locations. We are searching for dedicated and responsible individuals to be part of the lifeguard service. Candidates must have a current lifeguard certification and current First Aid and CPR (with AED). We will train the right candidates in the environment they would be working in. Applicants must have the ability to work independently as well as within a team, be self-motivated, effectively communicate with all levels of team members and citizens, extremely reliable, dependable and punctual.
Part and Full time work available; the season runs June 3 – Labor Day and requires weekend and holiday work.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary
Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
Experience:
- Lifeguard: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- First Aid Certification (Preferred)
- CPR with AED Certification (Preferred)
- Lifeguard Certification (Preferred)
