Rink Attendant

Idaho IceWorld is Idaho's premier indoor family ice skating and entertainment center. We offer many adult and youth programs as well as public skating sessions. Join us as a Rink Attendant and be a part of the fun!  The facility is open 7 days a week as early as 7:00 a.m. and as late as 11:00 p.m. making it a great fit for students. 

Assists with operations and customer service at the Idaho Ice World (IIW) facility. Assists customers with questions and provides assistance to staff as requested. Under direct supervision, this position is responsible for assisting the shift manager with the completion of the daily tasks designed to ensure and maintain a safe and welcoming environment at Idaho Ice World.

This position is open to all interested persons, 16 years of age or older. This position works up to 19 hours per week and is designated as At-Will.Assists customers at the skate rental counter. Determines the correct size of rentals and checks out customers. Performs other duties about customer service, answering questions related to programs and/or operations, and related duties as assigned. Utilizes computers and related software such as word processing and risk management. (70%)

Participate in janitorial duties such as keeping all areas of the facility neat, clean, and safe at all times. These duties include sweeping and mopping the rink restrooms, locker rooms, shower areas, lobby, meeting rooms, bleachers, removing trash, cleaning rink glass, etc. (30%)

• Experience working with the general public, answering phones, and handling cash.
• Working knowledge of customer service techniques; 
• cash handling procedures; 
• basic addition and subtraction.

• interact with the general public;

• display an attitude of cooperation and work harmoniously with all levels of City employees, the general public, and other organizations; 
• communicate effectively in the English language at a level necessary for efficient job performance;

Preferred Knowledge, Experience, And Training

• 6 months working in a customer service role.
