The Bonner Springs City Library is accepting applications for the full-time position of Assistant Director. The Assistant Director serves as second-in-charge of the Library and is competent in and assists with all duties of the Director. This position has special responsibilities supervising part-time staff and training new staff; is in charge of the Library’s seasonal, signature programs; and participates in collection development and other aspects of youth services. In addition, the Assistant Director works alongside other staff providing circulation and reference help and excellent customer service. One evening and some weekend shifts are required.
A master’s degree in Library Science from an ALA-accredited library school and a minimum of three years of library experience are required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
