- Vehicle Operation: Safely operate solid waste collection vehicles, including garbage trucks, recycling trucks, and other specialized equipment, following designated routes and schedules to collect refuse and recycling materials from residential and commercial properties.
- Route Servicing: Service assigned routes by emptying refuse and recycling containers into collection vehicles, using hydraulic lifters or manual methods as needed, and ensuring that all waste materials are properly collected and transported to designated disposal sites.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and inspections on collection vehicles and equipment, including pre-trip inspections, fluid checks, and minor repairs, to ensure safe and efficient operation at all times.
- Customer Interaction: Interact with residents and business owners in a courteous and professional manner, addressing inquiries, concerns, and service requests related to solid waste collection and disposal services.
