Job Description Summary:
OVERVIEW OF ROLE
Performs a variety of golf course maintenance tasks as assigned by golf course staff and performs related duties as assigned, with the goal of making the Flatirons Golf Course operate smoothly and being aesthetically pleasing. The position is seasonal.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Anticipates and performs needed maintenance and reports problems to the supervisor.
Uses and operates hand and power tools.
Repairs and maintains related equipment.
Performs a wide range of physical and manual tasks in an outdoor environment under a variety of weather conditions.
Hardscape cleaning and maintenance.
Vandalism repair/removal.
Minor repair of buildings and structures.
Snow removal as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be 15 years of age or older.
Ability to operate a variety of hand and power tools.
Ability to perform a wide range of physical and manual tasks in an outdoor environment under a variety of weather conditions.
Have and maintain acceptable background information, including criminal conviction history.
May need to work hours that are flexible and include weekends.
Ability to evaluate conditions in assigned area and make judgments related to safety.
Ability to provide excellent customer service.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to operate riding mowers.
Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record.
Ability to drive city vehicle.
Previous golf course maintenance experience.
Effective interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution skills.
Ability to work alone under general supervision.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
0- 2 years experience.

Supervision Received: Golf Course Superintendent
Supervision Exercised: None
WORKING CONDITIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Physical Demands: Ability to perform a wide range of strenuous physical and manual tasks in an outdoor environment. Physical ability to stand, walk, and kneel. Able to use a variety of long handled, manual, and power tools; and to operate equipment while working in and around moving traffic. Upper body strength to lift up to 40 pounds on a daily basis and over 75 pounds on an occasional basis. Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing or other communication capabilities that permits the employee to communicate effectively in person.
Work Environment: Frequently works outside with exposure to a variety of weather conditions. Works in a setting subject to continuous interruptions and background noises. Ability to stand, crawl, crouch, climb, stoop and kneel in on a regular basis.
