Utility Billing Specialist

The City of Cibolo is seeking a highly motivated Utility Billing Clerk that would be responsible for performing professional level work in an office environment related to clerical tasks and utility billing services for the City of Cibolo with an enthusiastic attitude and a willingness to work until the job is successfully completed. This position answers any and all incoming calls to City Hall; assists customers at the window; checks night drops and posts payments daily; orders garbage carts and recycle bins for customers; schedules bulk pickups for customers; enters new accounts; posts payments; assists with ACH calls.

Our Type: The Utility Billing Clerk will represent the City of Cibolo within the Finance Department. The right person should be extremely organized and able to manage multiple duties with skill and professionalism. The position will require the building of collaborative relationships with the City of Cibolo departments and employees to ensure successful teamwork and rapport. The right person should be reliable, knowledgeable, detail-oriented and professional, with the ability to listen and respond to customer needs. They should have strong communication skills and be diligent at following though, and following up, with employees and vendors, ensuring satisfaction. When tense situations arise, they are not easily flustered, but are diplomatic and work hard to diffuse the situation and ensure all feel heard in reaching resolution. At the end of the day, getting great satisfaction out of providing great customer service and ensures our Finance Department is a partner of success. • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): required.
• Valid Texas Class C Driver’s License

Compensation: Salary range is $34,918.93 - $52,378.40 (DOE) plus outstanding fringe benefits package which includes 100% fully paid employee health, vision, dental, and life insurance, generous retirement package, 12 paid holidays plus 2 floating holidays awarded at the beginning of each fiscal year, 2 weeks of vacation, and so much more!
