- Greets every guest upon arrival and thanks every guest at the end of the interaction
- Initiates and takes multi-line telephone calls, taking messages or making appropriate referrals.
- Must maintain a professional attitude under stressful situations.
- Operates dispatch radio for Zoo personnel.
- Provides excellent customer service to Zoo guests and answers questions about memberships and facility rentals.
- Must be able to perform a variety of tasks at one time, including phones, radio, and guests at window, snack stand, and gift shop
- Stock gift shop shelves and keep the gift shop and snack stand clean and tidy.
- Drives sales through engagement of customers, suggestive selling and sharing product knowledge Branded merchandise, animal encounter experiences, adoptions, and concessions
- Lifting & moving boxes up to 40 lbs.
Licenses and Certificates Valid Driver License equivalent to a New Mexico Class D.
Skill in: Possess good people skills and have ability to interface with the public. Be able to multi-task. Have the ability to take clear & concise messages for other staff members.
Ability to: Perform simple math and provide correct change to customers.
Physical Requirements Work is performed in a standard office environment and/or outdoors, occasional hazards may exist, including uneven ground surfaces. Light physical demands; mostly desk work, some lifting and carrying of boxes. Frequent to constant communication with the public in person and by telephone.
Working Conditions Position involves performing multiple tasks and responding to customer issues. Regular attendance is an essential function of this job to ensure continuity of services. Position is subject to drug testing in accordance with applicable State and Federal regulations and City of Clovis policies.
Salary : $13 - $19
