What are the responsibilities and job description for the Street Maintenance position at City of Collinsville?
STREET MAINTENANCE
We are looking for individuals that care about making the City a better place, show up on time, work hard, and have a positive attitude.
Minimum Qualifications
17 years of age or older.
Possess a valid Driver's License and must pass a criminal background check and a driving record check.
Duties include but are not limited to
Cleaning garage, office areas, vehicles, and equipment.
Push-mowing, weed eating, trimming, litter pickup and disposal, painting fire hydrants, and more as required.
Manual labor including lifting and moving heavy materials as needed.
Assist in repair of streets including patching, sealing ,and digging asphalt/concert pavement.
Site restoration activities.
Operate different equipment as need for the job.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to walk, run, stand, sit, and complete a variety of motor skills
- Ability to walk and/or stand on concrete for much of your shift
- Ability to bend to the floor and reach overhead
- Ability to lift and carry 30-70 pounds regularly to chest height
- Ability to perform manual labor for an extended period in all types of weather conditions.
Pay Rate
This position is $16.00 per hour.
